Though the poking of eyes several times to correctly place the contact lenses was uncomfortable, and so too the inevitable headache... being able to see clearly, without glasses was just amazing. Strange, very strange, but amazing.
Not to mention driving (confidently) for the first time without glasses, that was an experience.
